In the UK, you can buy E.L.F. products here!
If you read my post on Dior Amber Diamond, you’ll know that I’d been lusting after it for ages! THEN someone tells me that the E.L.F. Golden Bronzer (that I showed in a recent haul video) was a dupe for it! I was a little skeptical to say the least so I thought I’d put it to the test!

Purely by looking at the two, I really didn’t think they would be dupes. There are SOME similar shades, but the Dior bronzer seems to have a lot more bronze & a lot more light shimmery shades than the E.L.F. one.
As far as main differences between the two (besides the MASSIVE price difference) the first thing I noticed was the texture. The E.L.F. bronzer has almost a gummy texture. Kind of hard to explain, but you can sort of see the part in the middle that has gone a bit funny. Doesn’t really affect the way it looks, but something to keep in mind when you apply it.
And now let’s just stare at the beauty that is Dior Amber Diamond. It’s always nice to have a bit of a more luxurious product. The powder is extremely fine, easily blendable & I really like the fact that you can select certain shades out of this bronzer ie. ONLY the white shade. So are they truly DUPES?
*Both of these swatches are of the ENTIRE product (all swirled together)*
I have to say I was extremely surprised at how similar these two products are. I was NOT expecting it! To me the Dior is a bit more bronze-y, but not really by much. It is a bit more reflective than the E.L.F. one, though. To me, this is a pretty good dupe! If I would have known how similar these two were, I’m not sure if I would’ve bought the Dior bronzer. Who am I kidding, I probably would have. But I think if Dior Amber Diamond is a touch out of your reach, the E.L.F. Golden Bronzer is an excellent way to go!
