35 notes:

  1. My sister bought me the NARS foundation and I was very disappointed :( It showed my dry spots and didn't have any cover. I wanted a NARS blush, but now I am scared of their products. Anyways, I love your blog and videos!

    1. Yup, same with me here! I have a rather mixed skin combination, but this foundation left dry spots and looked all cakey but not covering on me :(
BUT I have the Nars blushes Sin, Super Orgasm & Luster and I can only recommend them, they are amazing and look fabulous on my bright skin :) Thumbs up!

    2. That's AWFUL! I haven't had that issue at all & I have a lot of dry patches! Have you tried applying it with a damp sponge? That's what I usually do! The blushes are GREAT, don't be scared! x

    3. That's what happened to me! I'm hoping that once summer comes along, those dry patches will disappear and I'll give it another go.

  2. I really want to try a taste amazonian clay blush - they look so good! Love this video also :)

  3. I'm a teeny tiny bit jealous of the NYX products! Why didn't I buy any when I was at IMATS? WHY?!!! It also got me thinking, why don't I ask my Canadian friend to send some my way? And why didn't I think about this earlier?!

    1. You can actually buy NYX online in the UK! http://www.nyxcosmeticsstore.co.uk/ It seems like a lot of people don't know about this!? x

  4. Hi Essie! I'm a new reader of your blog. You should try Benefits "That Gal" primer, it gives a pretty dewy brightening effect under foundation. (I use powder foundation though, not sure how it works under liquid)
Off topic, but I saw your post on Bobbi Brown creamy concealer. I also use it, and kind of have a hard time blending it, like when I pat it in it disappears and the coverage goes away. I saw you use a brush to blend, does that help? What brush is it? Thanks, and love your blog :)

    1. It's odd that you say that because I've actually got a small sample size of that! As for the concealer, I do most of the work with my finger & just use a brush to smooth it out a bit to help with creasing. I forgot the name of the brush, but it's one of those Sigma ones they recently came out with! x

    2. Seriously, the pot rouges are phenomenal! I have Calypso Coral, Fresh Melon, and Pale Pink. The Jemma Kidd Make Up School Blushwear Crème Cheek Colours are pretty great too (creamier, leave a dewier finish on the cheeks, but are lovely to work with).

  7. I would love a NARS blush! I have been lusting after "orgasm" and "duecer" (is that how you spell it?) for a while now, but they are so expensive here! $55 each. One of these days I will cave and buy them though I am sure.

  8. Although I don't like pastels (I feel they make me look old or light as a wall) I'm on a "mint pants" hunt. I don't know, but none of our clothing stores in Vienna seems to have them. I'm already thinking about looking for them online, aaaaah! Obsession!

    I love your blush collection!

  11. Essie being a beauty guru =) do you know if the BB pot rouges are being discontinued? I clicked on the link from your post and noticed ONLY one shade is available on the website! I have one of the pot rouges in Chocolate Cherry which I LOVE, recommend and hope to buy again once it runs out. But doesn't look like this will be possible right now =(

  13. If you like the Tarte blushes you should try the color "Blushing Bride." It is a beautiful plumy rose color with gold flecks in it. Very pretty. And thanks to your gushing over the Physicians Formula blush I just had to stop and take a look when I was in the drugstore today. I ended up getting the "natural" color happy booster blush and it really is lovely and super pigmented!

  15. Ive got crazy combination skin! And i'm quite pale, I have allowed blush into my life and really embracing colours for my tone and all that. You've given me great blusher ideas and also bronzer because it is HELL trying to get a bronzer and wearing it and NOT looking dirty or orange.
Thankyou :) Love your videos & blog, cant get enough of them hi5

  17. haha I am in love with Bobbi Brown blushes. I have one in dusty pink which I've had for 2 years now. Its barely even dented its insane. I am trying to get one in a dark chocolate color and a coral color because I like to be bold like that. lol. The tart blushes are so nice too. I will eventually get one but I feel like my collection is somehow disproportional with all the blushes I have. Oh well. There is no such thing as too much blush, as I think you would agree.
