Clayspray Glow Red Clay With Cacao-£44.50
Face masks are my favourite part of skincare. I tend to do them once or twice a week depending on how my skin is feeling and I always find it makes a big difference to the overall appearance of my skin. I love trying out new masks, however it doesn’t always go very well…
I think I’ll start with the cons…
1. Well, I had a pretty bad reaction to this mask, so that’s definitely a con! My face didn’t tingle or sting at all while the mask was on my face, but as soon as I removed it my skin started itching and burning. It wasn’t terrible pain or anything, but it was uncomfortable and it lasted for about 45 minutes.
2. At first I quite liked the “chocolatey” scent, however once I started applying it to my face it somehow turned into a different experience. I think Aslan hit the nail on the head when he said it smelled like “a mixture of dark chocolate and hoisin sauce.” Luckily, the scent seemed to disappear after it started to dry.
1. I absolutely love the packaging. It’s really unusual to see a clay mask dispensed from a pump like this and it was really convenient.
2. The next morning, I noticed my complexion looked very clear and it really seemed to tighten my pores. This mask does exfoliate the skin as well, so I did notice a bit of a skin-boosting glow.
Clayspray Hydrate H2O Water Spray-£17.50
We’ve all heard of these facial waters and I for one love them. I sprayed this on my skin about a million times after I removed the clay mask and it did help soothe my face. It dispenses a VERY fine mist and sets makeup beautifully because it doesn’t leave the skin dripping with water like some facial waters do. The packaging is great…but £17.50 great?
Well, I didn’t have too much luck with the mask as you can see, but I am still intrigued by the brand. I’m wondering if the Clayspray Toning White Clay with Aloe Vera might have been the better choice for me? I wouldn’t say my skin is super sensitive to skincare, but there was definitely something in there I didn’t like. Perhaps it was the clay itself? Probably best to check out a few other reviews to see how other people reacted!
