Recently my brother came to stay with us in England for a couple of weeks and we also ventured to Paris and Amsterdam. Unfortunately, we didn’t vlog the trip, but I thought it might be nice to share a few photos from our travels.
The top two photos were taken in London. There are always a lot of statue people (is that the correct term for them?), but this guy was particularly good. The crowd was harassing him and he didn’t budge! Beneath that is a photo of us in Buckingham Palace. I think it’s really worthwhile to take a tour inside Buckingham Palace if you can get tickets. Very cool! We did lots of other stuff in London such as The London Eye, The Zoo (which we did vlog about), various restaurants and we even went to see The Book of Mormon which was HILARIOUS.
Most of the photos in this post are from our trip to Paris. I had been there once before, but this was my first time going up the Eiffel Tower. It’s a lot scarier than you would think and the line was SO long-definitely worth it though. There are so many sights to see in Paris, but The Palace of Versailles was certainly a highlight for me. I have always wanted to see it, but for some reason I always thought it was hours away from Paris. Turns out it was only about 30 minutes away by train and very easy to get to. I would HIGHLY recommend you go to The Palace of Versailles if you get a chance.
Another thing about Paris is that they have THE BEST ice-cream. Seriously. We probably had 3 cones each everyday we were there. Chocolate/vanilla swirl is delicious!
Sadly, we didn’t get too many photos from Amsterdam even though we had a great time. We were all kind of tired and wanted to relax, so taking photos wasn’t one of our top priorities. There is one photo of Aslan and I on a canal boat tour though, which I must say was one of the most boring canal rides we have ever taken. People were actually falling asleep! The views were beautiful, but I wish we would have looked up reviews before booking tickets.
Hope you enjoyed seeing a few photos from our journey and thanks to those of you who gave me restaurant recommendations etc. It really helped us out!
