Current Morning Skincare Routine

Tagged:

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAskincare OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI’ve been really happy with my morning skincare routine, so I thought I’d share with you what I’ve been using!

Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 Wash & Mask-£3.99
I’ve been using this stuff for over 3 years on Aslan’s recommendation (his favourite cleanser), but for the past few months I’ve pushed it aside for more hydrating cleansers. Since I use some pretty heavy duty facial oils at night I’ve noticed my skin can feel a bit clogged in the morning. Although the ingredients in this probably aren’t the best…this stuff has always worked for me. I put it on in the shower for about 4 minutes like a mask and then rinse it off. It makes my skin feel really clean and has been doing wonders clearing up my breakouts.
Available here via Boots.

Antipodes Tone Correcting and Brightening Serum-£41.99
My favourite morning serum is this one by a long shot. It’s very light-weight and sinks in almost immediately. It’s a very light, slightly gel-ish texture that smells like strawberries and I can’t say enough about it! I like it because it’s hydrating and I think it does help brighten the skin when used longterm. It’s hydrating enough for my skin on dry-skin days, but when my skin is more combination it’s not greasy AT ALL. Basically it’s perfect.
Available here via FeelUnique.

Antipodes Vanilla Pod Hydrating Day Cream-£26.99
I’m not going to go too much into this product because I’ve already done a full review which you can read by clicking here!  Available here via FeelUnique.

Caudalie Vinosource SOS Morning Eye Rescue-£16.20
This tube is almost used up and I’ve really loved this eye cream. Like the rest of the Vinosource range, the products are hydrating but the furthest thing from feeling greasy or heavy.
Available here via FeelUnique.

Kiehl’s Ultra Light Daily UV Defense SPF 50-£31.00
Sunscreen is a crucial part of my morning skincare routine and I’ve tried a lot of them. Obviously the big issue with facial sunscreens is that they can sometimes look disgustingly greasy. Thankfully this one from Kiehl’s is just PERFECT and if my skin is a little more on the combination side I use this as my moisturiser too. I’d highly recommend this one if you’re looking for a new facial sunscreen. Available here via House of Fraser.

Dior Creme de Rose Lip Balm-£20
I featured this lip balm just three posts ago because my love for it is REAL. After I finish applying all of my other products I put a bit of this on and it hydrates my lips all morning long. Love the scent, love the texture…love everything about this!
Available here via FeelUnique.

Let me know if you’d like to see my current night skincare routine and I will try to get that up in a few days! What morning skincare products are you using at the moment?

I’ve heard so much about the Dior Creme de Rose lip balm that I’ve always wanted to try it but it’s so expensive :(

  • Linsay

Morning skincare for me. Cleanser – soap & glory peaches and clean. Toner – michael todd blue green algae toner. Moisturiser – la roche posay effaclar duo. Eye cream – boots vitamin e eye cream. Lipbalm – either one of my korres lip balms, my dior addict glow or my elizabeth arden 8 hour.

Definitely going to purchase that dior rose lip balm though. I’m so in love with dior at the moment.

  • charlotte foster

I tried a Jurlique rose lip balm today which was surprisingly lovely – could that and the Dior be similar? Perhaps we should open a book on who will be the first to write a ‘Best of the Uber-expensive Rose-based Lip Balms’ post.

  • Oumi Djoumoi

Hi Estée! Of course I want a post about your night time route. Currently I cleanse with Clinique cleansing balm. As a toner I use the Serozinc spray by Laroche Posay. As a treatment I use Avene sebo regulating lotio. To moisturize I go for Avene Hydrance legere spf 20. Xxx

If you like Neutrogena, you should also try Garnier Pure Active range, they are so good for mixed type skin with blemishes!

Hi! My morning routines include Body Shop tea tree foaming cleanser (very nice to treat blemished skin), Dr. Hauschka light rose day cream (amazing!), Organic Surge eye gel (not bad) and Greenland lip balm (ok) :)
I would love to read about ur night routines too!

In my more early teens I used so many Neutrogena products and was always left disappointed, I may have to pick up the mask/cleanser and give it a whirl now, I’ve also been packing on the oils so fingers crossed! xx Emmi

Morning skin care for me: Olay total effects 7 in 1 antiaging revitalizing foaming cleanser (creamyyy), kiehl’s rare earth pore minimizing lotion (i don’t have
large pores but i really like it my skin feels so smooth after), jack black intense therapy lip balm spf 25… I only use eye cream at night because it makes me drowsy. :)

Would love to see your current nighttime routine, as your skin always looks amazing.
I have to admit to almost falling off my chair when I seen that you were using Neutrogena, but I think it’s good that you’re doing what works for you, and not what the latest skincare craze is.

I feel like women often forget that their shaving cream could also be drying their skin. Ingredients like alcohol or fragrances are to be avoided, but moisturizing ones like glycerin are good. We’re a shaving company called Dorco, and we think every woman should be able to afford high quality razors. Check out our prices for yourself at DorcoUSA.com. Thanks again for this great post.

Love this post! I seriously need to start waking up more than 15 min before I have to leave the house and get some skin care routines down haha. Great items! :)

I wanted to buy the Neutrogena face wash/mask, but have dry skin and wasn’t sure, if it was okay for me to use it.

But I feel like it’s the one thing like Nivea, who isn’t super natural etc., but it just works and is a staple :)

Thanks for sharing and have a nice weekend! :)

You’ve showed a rosehip oil or something similar during the Wholefoods vlog, is it the antipodes serum? I really like this post, always nosey about what other’s people skincare looks like :)

I love the Dior Creme Abricot, maybe I should try the Creme Rose also. I am very curious about the Antipodes serum, it sounds really nice!

I love to see your night skincare routine!
I now use in the morning the clinique cream cleanser redness solution. After that my La Roche Posay Serozinc, or the Clinique mild lotion with BHA. But the mild one without alcohol. After that my Hydraluron en 2 drops of Pai rosehip oil to give me some glow en then Clinique City sheer spf 25. I want to order the Trilogy very gentle cream cleanser for sensitive skin, without essential oils and without perfume.. Has anyone tried this before? I can not find any reviews.. This is more natural than clinique, so I would like to change..
I want to love Antipodes, but I don’t know if I do.. I bought the honey mask because I saw you rave about it, but I don’t think it does much for my skin.. I’m scared to think it broke me out.. :(

What lovely choices! I’ve been wanting to try the Kiehl’s sunscreen forever and you’ve definitely tempted me with the Antipodes brightening serum! I’ve been using the Antipodes Divine Face Oil in the mornings and it’s been surprisingly wonderful for my oily skin :)

  • Mademoiselle nature

Loving Antipodes! excellent choice as it contains real good ingredients and no cheap fillers such as mineral oil, or parrafin..etc..

Loved to see your night routine as well!

These products sound lovely, especially the serum. Hydrating, not greasy and smells like strawberries, sounds amazing. Only the price…
My skin really suffers from this cold weather and is completely dehydrated, so it’s quite a challenge to find something to properly hydrate it without making my combination-oily skin look too shiny. I’m currently using the day cream from Dermolin (a line for hypersensitive skin, without any smuck in it. Not sure if they have it outside of the Netherlands, though), and so far it’s been really doing the trick!
