Cult Beauty Restock

cult OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe other week I made an order on one of my favourite websites, Cult Beauty. I didn’t realise until I photographed these items that I went for double Caudalie + double Aesop! I’ve tried and tested all of these products before & used them up, so I thought it was about time to restock.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir-£11.00 via Cult Beauty
I go back and forth between loving this and finding it uneccessary. Overall, it’s something I like to keep on hand for when my skin is acting up, or I just need a refreshing spritz throughout the day. This herbal mist can be used as a toner, makeup setting spray, facial mist-the uses are endless! What do you think of this product?

Caudalie SOS Thirst Quenching Serum-£29.00 via Cult Beauty
How did I live without this baby for so long? I ran out of this months ago & decided to see how my skin did without it. It seemed fine at first, but my skin is feeling so tight and *shocker* I hate Hydraluron. This is my favourite serum for dehydrated skin and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of plumping.

Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque-£27.00 via Cult Beauty
One of my all time favourite masks. Couldn’t stand the thought of not having it around.

Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash-£27.00 via Cult Beauty
This one especially is a bit of a splurge, but the bottle is massive and it’s SO nice to have a unique smelling hand wash around. It’s the little things, but it makes the mundane act of hand washing a bit more special. INSIDE: Mandarin, Rosemary, Lavender.

Do you use any of these products?

I saw you talk about the Caudalie Vinosource serum a while ago and I bought it because of you because my skin is super dehydrated as well. I love it! Thanks for recommending it. :)

Hi. Nice picks. I would love to hear why you hate Hydraluron? I’m using it myself, but really don’t seem to notice any difference in my skin and it simply still is a part of my routine as I haven’t run out of it yet.

You really are one of mij favourite bloggers/youtubers :)

I absolutely love the smell of the Caudelie Beauty Elixir, I just don’t find it does an awful lot for my skin.

I haven’t tried any of these products, but I’m using the Caudalie Vinoperfect serum and I love it. I’m hoping to get my hands on some Aesop products soon, too, from what I’ve read they’re really worth it!

I really want to try out the Aesop hand wash, but it’s so expensive for basically soap! (even though you get a lot of product, hmmm)

  • http://alittleboatsailing.blogspot.co.uk/ Amy

I’m the same with you on the Caudalie Elixir, I really like using it as well as the scent but I’m not entirely sure it really does anything. I will oddly miss it though when it runs out.

Bought Caudalie Elixir last year when the hype was in its peek and thought the same: neither helps nor damages, haha. It seems that Caudalie got lucky by starting to sell simple water with some herbal scent and somehow it got big. It’s just surprising that everyone says they don’t notice its effect but still keeps buying it! Some kind of brainwashing elixir, haha!

  • Danielle

I really dislike the Caudalie Beauty Elixir, mainly because it is mostly alcohol, something I do not put on my face.

Can’t believe you nearly £30 on a handwash sounds crazy to me hehe really want to try the Caudalie thirst serum my skin desperately needs it at the moment xx

I really need to get onto Aesop! So many great sounding products from that brand, but I am trying to use up everything I have before considering anything new. That mask is definitely on my wishlist!
I love the Caudalie serum, definitely a staple in my routine and I also prefer it over Hydraluron. I like Hydraluron but it is insufficient for my skin’s needs — sometimes I layer it over Caudalie’s in very dry areas.

I’ve never tried Caudalie but it’s one of those brands I keep hearing people rave about. I may have to investigate.

  • Shani

I’ve been dying to try some of Aesop’s scalp products. I’m guessing they have to be pretty good, if the rest of their stuff is worth splurging on!

I work for a large cosmetics company but I still did a sneak buy of the Caudalie SOS serum, it is the only thing that helps my dry, flaky nose. As with you, I did not feel hydraluron made any difference and I am still unable to understand the hype with Embryolisse. What do you think of this Aesop mask for dry skin?

  • Karlie Mymryk

Estee, why do you hate Hydralauron?

I want to try Caudalie syrum it sounds perfect for the winter.

    Hi Essie
I really want to try the Aesop mask however am waiting to use up my 21 new masks skin care junkie lol

  • Lilian Tea

Hello Estee! I personally don’t find any big difference the Beauty Elixir has made to my skin, though I do find it quite refreshing to use. But I’m not sure if the ‘refreshing feeling’ is worth so much money- I mean, this is some pricey spritz! lol

I like the quenching serum tho :) and I really really wanna try the Aesop mask!

I love getting luxury hand soaps, as it’s something you constantly use and it’s nice to have something that smells amazing.

  • Arpita Bajaj

I adore the Serum and Masque as well, though I’ve been holding back on the Beauty Elixir because the smell traumatises me a little.

I feel the same about the Elixir, it sits there looking pretty most of the time, it smells lovely but doesn’t do anything for me at all.

  • Two Pretty Birds

I really don’t like Hydraluron as well, I was trying to love it because it seemed like the entire world was obsessed with it, and it just didn’t do anything for me…almost gave a burning feeling on application? I LOVE your Aesop picks!

  • Becky Alyssa

I still have a Caudalie set from Sephora with the elixir spray in that I’ve yet to open – will have to give it a go! I’m not sure I’d spend £27 on hand wash myself, but I love the antibacterial lotion hand washes from Bath & Body Works in the USA which I sometimes treat myself to for £7-9 each on Ebay!

I’d really like to hear your thoughts on the Clarisonic now that you use more higher end skincare. I haven’t heard of it in quite a while in your post and videos so I was just wondering if you still use it?

About the Beauty Elixir… I use the Grape Water by Caudalie in a regular basis, is half the prize of the Beauty Elixir and very good for young skins. The Beauty Elixir (in France) is used as a “luxury” special occasions product or for mature skins … Of course young people can still use it but it is certainly not a “must have” beauty product. I would recommend you to try the grape water, it feels fresh and nice on the skin (very soothing and moisturizing) and you can buy a big one (200 ml for 9 pounds)

  • Georgia Rogers

Hydraluron makes my face feel really tacky and sticky before my moisturiser and im not sure it really does anything, would be interested in why you dont like it, not worth The hype post???

  • http://www.annabeautybox.com/ Annabeautybox

I absolutely love love love this caudalie sos serum and you are the person that let me discover it so THANKS! Haha :) on the other hand, I much prefer caudalie eau de raisin (raisin water) than beauty elixir! It’s cheaper + hydrates my face and refreshes it while beauty elixir does…nothing :D
