In-a-Hurry Products

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe all have those mornings when we don’t have a lot of time to get ready, but I can’t hide under big sunglasses and dry shampoo all day…or can I? This isn’t the routine I would use if I  had literally 10 minutes until I had to walk out the door, but if I still have time to shower before I set off I would use multi-purpose shower products and minimal makeup.

Macadamia Flawless-£20.50
This really is the all-in-one haircare product because it cleanses, conditions, and leaves behind a hydrating serum, so once you get out of the shower you don’t need to add anything else. It’s very quick to use: just apply it to the hair like a normal shampoo, leave it in for 2-4 minutes, rinse and that’s it! See my original review for more info.

Fig + Yarrow Cardamom & Coffee Body Scrub-$44.00
Usually scrubs are used when you’ve got plenty of time to dilly-dally in the shower, but there are a couple of reasons I consider this an ‘in a hurry product’. Number one-it’s coffee based, so it smells SO amazing and gets your senses tingling-I’m not a coffee drinker, but this stuff definitely gives me a boost of energy just from the scent. Number two-it’s a very hydrating scrub so I can skip out on moisturiser once I rinse it off. See my original review for more info.

L’Oréal Lumi Magique Concealer-£8.49
This concealer was good enough to make it into my Top Makeup Products of 2013 video because it brightens up my eye area like no other, doesn’t crease and I just plain love it! If I want to make it look like I’m wide awake this is definitely my go-to concealer.

Japonesque Eyelash Curlers-£20.00
Curling your eyelashes makes a HUGE difference. If you’ve never tried it-try it, if you’re already a curler you know what I’m talking about. I really love these curlers from Japonesque. (Yes, better than Shu Uemura in my opinion!)

Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara-£10.00
I started using this mascara a couple of weeks ago and I’m so impressed with it. The first layer gives a gorgeous effect that lengthens and volumises, but if you wait a few minutes and apply another layer your lashes look MASSIVE. This mascara is definitely moving up the ranks in my mascara stash.

Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector ‘Rose’-£17.00
One of my favourite lip gloss formulas has to go to the Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors. I’m not surprised they have the word ‘perfector’ in the title because they ARE perfect. It gives the slightest hint of colour, lots of shine and it’s very moisturising.

Now that I’m thinking about it I also should have included the Hourglass Brow Sculpting Pencil. It has a bit of a wider tip, so filling in your brows takes two quick swoops!

I’ve been looking for the loreal concealer, but it doesn’t seem it’s available in the US….

I would usually add in a blusher too and maybe just dry shampoo instead of washing my hair instead because it takes forever to dry!

If I have to be out the door, I buff on mineral foundation, add some mascara, and then lip gloss. That is my bare minimum.

    great post!! love the mascara!

Love it! I use the e.l.f eyebrow kit, the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder, the Rimmel Apocalips, and a dash of the NARS Orgasm/Laguna palette.

Gosh I keep on hearing about the Clarins lip perfectors and I really think I need to pick up a couple – they really sound like the bees knees! The Macadamia thing sounds perfect for days when I’m late for school, too. :)
