Tutti Frutti Beauty Products

fruitfruitSometimes it’s nice to step away from the herbal (ahem…talking about beauty products) and go for the more refreshing, fruity scents! I find frutti products to be very uplifting and energising. Here are some of my favourite tutti frutti beauty products!

Ole Henriksen Truth Serum-£47.00
Ole Henriksen describes their Truth Serum as a daily vitamin for your face. It uses a vitamin C complex to help reduce the look of lines/wrinkles and aims to prevent further damage. I’m not at the stage where I’ll be able to test the effectiveness of these sorts of products, but from what I’ve noticed it’s a very hydrating, nourishing and brightening serum that smells very citrus-y from the grapefruit and orange extract. Definitely one to look into if you’re you’re looking for a collagen boosting type of product.

Antipodes Apostle Skin Brightening & Tone Correcting Serum-£41.99
You’ve heard me mention this water-based serum many times before, but it’s definitely the skincare item that got me hooked on fruity products. Besides smelling amazing, this serum hydrates the skin and aims to reduce redness in the skin. I find it really helps to brighten my complexion and have used up several of these in my skincare lifetime!  The fruity elements inside this magical serum includes: kiwi pulp extract, raspberry oil and essential oil of green apple. The colour of this serum is a rich red colour and it smells like berries! Antipodes is a cruelty free and vegetarian friendly brand.

Essie Apricot Cuticle Oil-£8.95
Words cannot describe how amazing this stuff smells…for real…I can’t stop sniffing the bottle. My cuticles have been ridiculously dry lately, so when I came across this cuticle oil it seemed very promising and it hasn’t let me down. I apply a little bit of the oil to my cuticle/nail area and let it do its magic. Beautiful product!

Korres Lip Butter ‘Mango’-£8.00
I’m a big fan of the Korres Lip Butters and this Mango one usually doesn’t leave my sight in the spring/summertime. Besides smelling tutti frutti, it’s super moisturising and gives the perfect amount of tint. I’d highly recommend these-I love the Wild Rose & Plum one too.

Origins GinZing Energy-Boosting Moisturiser-£23.00
Origins calls this lightweight moisturiser a skin energy drink because it de-puffs, hydrates and creates a healthy glow. I always have great experiences with Origins skincare (LOVE the Make a Difference + Rejuvenating Treatment) and I’ve had this in my ‘skincare stash’ for awhile now! It’s almost a gel-like consistency that sinks into the skin instantly, so it’s suitable for all skin types. It’s got a citrusy scent from grapefruit & lemon peel oil, which is very refreshing.

I’m currently using the Origins moisturizer, when I apply it I think to myself “ahh… you are now energized!” to trick myself into becoming a morning person (truth be told, not sure if its working… but it smells good!)

I was thinking about purchasing the Antipodes serum to use on some acne scars. They are redish spots on my chin. Do you think it will help diminish them or is there another product you suggest?
