In my recent Non-Beauty Favourites video I featured The Granny Alphabet by fashion photographer Tim Walker and so many of you have left comments saying how much you love the looks of it! I wanted to put a bit more of a spotlight on it today because I think it’s such a gorgeous book inside and out. You know that I consider myself to be a grandma at heart (I am actually wearing a nightgown as I type), so this book really hits home for me.
I also love my Grandma…but sadly she’s not in this book.
Perfect attention to detail-look at the little flowers on the inside! I really love the light blue colour scheme and all of the illustrations have a very dreamy hue to them. Gorgeous…this thing should be on display at all times.
In this book set you will find two different books: the first one has illustrations by Lawrence Mynott (stunning) and the second has photographs of real-life granny stuff.
One of my favourite illustrated Grannies is ‘A is for Adventurous’. I hope I’m an adventurous granny! Never too old to have an adventure.
Here’s one of my favourite pages in the other book. I’ve been fascinated by false teeth ever since I saw my own grandma without her teeth in…it was really hilarious and I couldn’t stop laughing when I noticed. It was all in good fun of course!
I bought my book set via Amazon here.
Are you a Granny at heart?
What kind of Granny will you be when you’re older?
