September Favorites

September has come and gone, which makes me sad as September is one of my favorite months. The weather is a little colder, so I’ve switched up my skincare products and added a few new additions to my stable of old make-up classics. Beauty aside, I’ve been obsessively reading Cherry Bombe this month as it’s one of my all-time favorite magazines! After a busy month, I was excited to sit down and talk you all through all the products and things I have been loving.

Vapour Stratus Soft Focus Skin Perfector

The first product on my September list is the Vapour Stratus Soft Focus Skin Protector. Its pure glow in a bottle. It was recommended to me by the Truth beauty company in Ontario. I had reservations about it at first but I really do love it now. Its a base product that you can use with your tinted moisturizer or foundation or even just wear by itself. I have the golden shade but its also available in a purplish hue. Oh, and its organic so bonus points.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue

Next on the list is Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue which I know I have mentioned before. I use Vanilla 02 but you’ll want to get the shade that most closely matches your skin tone. It combines perfectly with the Vapour base that I just recommended. This tinted moisturizer is actually a gel so it goes on smoother than a lot of other tinted moisturizers.

Lancome Hypnose Mascara

I have been obsessing over the Lancome Hypnose Mascara for the last two, maybe three months. It’s definitely a cult classic that you have heard at least tone other person talk about, if not more. That was the case with me and I kind of paid it no mind. Now that I’ve tried it, it is one of my go-to mascaras. It’s creamy and gives length and volume with very little clumpiness. It makes me feel like an older elegant European woman when I wear it.

LUSH Salted Coconut Hand Scrub

Lush sent me a care package, don’t be jelly. The product that really stood out to me was the Salted Coconut Hand Scrub. I know its a solid product because I’ve caught my boyfriend using it twice. That is usually a good sign. I usually just put a little on my hands before bed, rub them together and rinse it off. Follow it up with a good moisturizer and you’ll wake up with hands softer than clouds.

Marc Jacobs Lipstick ‘Eat Cake’

I have been wearing this Marc Jacobs “Eat Cake” lipstick extensively this month. The case is the color of creamy coffee, which I love of course. And the lipstick is just a nice even neutral pink. I’m a big fan of natural and neutral lipstick that you can wear all of the time so that’s exactly what I’ve been doing with this one; wearing it all of the time.

Sachajuan Ocean Mist Shampoo and Conditioner

Welcome to the ocean ladies. Look at this stuff, isn’t it neat, you can smell good in your armpits and feet. Sachajuan, a beauty brand in Stockholm, makes this Ocean Mist Shampoo and Ocean Mist Conditioner. I can’t lie to you guys, it’s the beautiful blues that made me notice and buy these initially. That being said, if you don’t fall in love when you smell these, you’re dead inside. I’m not sure why we associate “ocean” smells with clean but these just smell so clean. They are also super light and feel great if you have fine or thin hair. It’s a real treat.

Nars blush in the color orgasm

NARS Blush ‘Orgasm’

The blush that I am in love with this month comes from Nars in the color “orgasm”. Now, I’ve had this terracotta, orange-gold blush for a while but I’ve been finding myself returning to it a lot lately. It basically goes with ANY color lipstick; pinks, reds, oranges, whatever. It reminds me of a crisp leaf in fall, ready to fall off the tree. Check out my Nars Blush Review here.

Origins Retexturising Rose Mask

The final product I want to talk about for September is Origins’ Original Skin Retexturizing Mask With Rose Clay. If it has rose in it, you guys probably know by now that I’m going to like it. I also really like that it has little beads in it that lightly exfoliate my skin. I’ve been using it a couple of times per week. I just rub it in, let it dry like a normal mask, then rinse it off. It makes my skin feel great and I bet it will do the same for you.

Well, that’s it for me. Let me know what you think in the comments.
