If you dove into the archives of this blog you would see that I used to bleach my hair at home. A LOT. My hair was almost completely white and towards the end of its cycle it was falling out in huge clumps.
Finally about 10 months ago I decided to go to a salon & get my hair dyed closer to my natural color. It was a long process, but I’m finally at a stage where my hair is beginning to feel like “normal” hair. I’ve really been trying to use a lot of hair oils & hair masks but another thing I’ve found helps a lot is to use as little heat as possible!
Of course, there are days when you just NEED to take a straightener to it, but for the most part, I’ve been letting my mane air dry!
Here are some products I’ve been using to combat frizz and make it appear shiny and smooth!

Since this is called a curl defining oil I was expecting it to be the consistency (wait for it) of an oil! I found this to be more like a hair gel, but it certainly didn’t leave my hair feeling crunchy. Overall

This is basically a fancy name for dry shampoo! I’ve only tried one dry shampoo before this and to be honest I’m still not completely sold on the idea! I mean I guess I like the IDEA but I just don’t feel “fresh” if I don’t at least get my hair wet in the shower! The

I’ve been trying not to shampoo my hair as much either. I’m trying to limit it to twice a week if possible! Air-drying my hair is a bit time consuming and it isn’t always possible but when I have the time to do it I will!
