Thoughts on CBD and Cannabis seed oil in skincare? It seems pretty trendy and almost gimmicky – which it totally is. But, it can do wonders for dry, irritated and sensitive skin. Milk Makeup’s Hydrating Face Mask comes in a stick applicator and contains Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil with claims to soothe the skin. It’s truly unlike any type of mask out there which makes it hard to dupe.

Our favorite dupe for the Milk Makeup Hydrating Mask is the Green Mask Stick. It clearly was made with the Milk Makeup mask in mind and the two look identical! The only con is, it does not contain cannabis sativa oil. Other than that, the Green Mask Stick is the same clay formula that helps to hydrate the skin while reducing oils. It’s insanely affordable and we can’t recommend it enough!

Milk Makeup Hydrating Face Mask Ingredients

The star ingredients in the Milk Makeup hydrating mask include:

  • Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil: Hydrates, helps retain moisture, soothes, and calms.
  • Aloe: Hydrates, calms, soothes, and provides antioxidant protection.
  • Kaolin Clay: Cleanses, exfoliates to help balance oil, and helps clean pores.

Cannabis in beauty is tough to dupe because every product is going to have a different formulation, concentration and supplier. A good CBD or cannabis cream, serum, mask is going to be very costly! Luckily the Milk Makeup Hydrating Mask contains very little cannabis so it’s like a typical clay mask with some hydration claims.

While the mask claims to be hydrating, I don’t find it to be at all. I like it more for soothing and helping to balance oil which is definitely from the kaolin clay.

Milk Makeup Hydrating Face Mask Dupes

Milk Makeup’s Hydrating Mask is tough to dupe if you look at it’s claims. But, after trying the product, there’s very little cannabis and it feels like any clay mask. If you’re open to similar options, then a dupe is even better because many are cheaper and better options. If you’re just looking for a hydrating, soothing mask – no need to splurge on the Milk Makeup one. It’s thin, clay consistency makes it tough to provide hydration

  • Good for anti-inflammatory.
  • Kaolin clay helps to reduce the appearance of pores.

  • Comes in a stick applicator.
  • A really good dupe for how the Milk Makeup Hydrating Mask actually performs.
  • Good for tired, dull skin.

Final Thoughts

While we don’t find the Milk Makeup Hydrating Mask to be good at hydrating, we found a list of dupes that actually deliver on their claims! Cannabis is a trendy ingredient but make sure when you’re buying it, the product actually contains it and it’s not being used as a marketing tactic. Our favorite dupe for the Milk Makeup Hydrating Mask performance-wise is the Green Stick Mask! This clay mask has the same applicator/packaging and it soothes the skin while managing oil! It’s a truer representation of the Milk Makeup Hydrating Mask and the price is just right.
